In Depth — Discussion and Debate
Next Topic: How can atheists help to re-frame the definition of “religious liberty” that has been co-opted by the Religious Right?
What’s this about: Discussion and Debate, with Anyone, about Anything!
Do you enjoy learning from others? Do you have ideas and opinions that you are willing to share? Let’s get together on a selected subject and dig into it. What does it mean to you? This event is for people that enjoy staying on a topic and learning from each other, even though we may disagree. While each might be knowledgeable on a subject, it’s likely that someone else has another perspective or background on that subject. Share what you know and ask others about their perspectives. We’ll make sure everyone gets to share their views or you can just listen in, if you like.
Who: Everyone, especially people open to hearing another point of view.
When: Second and Fourth Tuesdays, each month, at 3:00 pm. 60 minutes
How: We’ll post a topic to discuss at each event – think “book club” without having to read the book. At the end of our discussion, we’ll select the next topic. This will give everyone the option to do a little “homework” before meeting again.
Where: Covid continues making this an online event. Hopefully, we’d be able to meet in person eventually.
Link to the Zoom meeting will be available to RSVP’ers. Link will be active about 5-10 minutes before the Meetup starts.
Why: Life gets more interesting when it involves other people. Let’s keep it interesting as well as fun.
