ONLINE Humanist Community Gathering and Annual Meeting: Looking Ahead!
Join our annual gathering for members and let your voices be heard! Take advantage of this opportunity for members to express their views on issues that are important to them. What programming would you like to see? What speakers? How can we attract more members? How can we expand humanist values to public policy and society at large?
At this Annual Meeting, as always, we will elect new members of the Board of Directors, including all officers. The membership will also be asked to vote on some proposed changes to our organization’s bylaws. You can review them here: https://humanistsmn.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Bylaw-changes.pdf.
[See our current bylaws here: https://humanistsmn.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/HumanistsMN-Bylaws-5-21-16.pdf.]
The Annual Meeting is intended to be an interactive experience. The leadership of the organization will review this past year, especially how we navigated through the pandemic. It will also provide a preview of plans for the upcoming year as far as programming, events, etc. Then it will be the members’ turn to ask questions, offer ideas, and provide appropriate feedback as to what they expect from their Board of Directors.
The “meeting” will run from 3:00 – 4:30, after which time we will commence with an online “happy hour” to socialize and check-in with each other personally. Use the Zoom link provided to those who RSVP through Meet-up.
Don’t miss this important humanist gathering! See you on May 15th!
