Speaker James Croft, The Ethics of Star Trek

Minnesota Atheists is excited to virtually host James Croft as our May Public Speaker!

The Ethics of Star Trek

Star Trek is the quintessential humanist media franchise: a moral vision of the future grounded in the best of the human spirit. But why does Star Trek resonate with so many people, and is its vision still relevant today? Join James Croft as we go beyond the final frontier, and explore the ethics of Star Trek!

Dr. James Croft is the Outreach Director at the Ethical Society of St. Louis – one of the largest Humanist congregations in the world. A graduate of Cambridge and Harvard Universities, James is an in-demand public speaker, an engaging teacher, and a passionate activist for human rights. James was raised on William Shakespeare, Carl Sagan and Star Trek, and lives in St. Louis with his fabulous drag queen husband Kolten.
